Homosexuality In Nature.

A huge argument against the gay community and the gay rights movement is that homosexuality is unnatural. It has been documented that around 1,500 species of animals engage in homosexual behaviors, 450 of the species have been studied for this behavior. Studies on the matter have shown that it is very widespread, and could possibly be a necessary part of animal life. For instance, a male dog may perform homosexual activities with another male dog to show dominance, or possibly stop a confrontation. It has been seen as a way to resolve conflicts in some species such as dolphins and primates. Even species of insects have been documented to perform homosexual activities, such as dragonflies. An especially known homosexual animal is the Cnemidophorus Neomexicanus, a species of lizard that only consists of females. They reproduce using the process of parthenogenesis. Petter Boeckman has done many studies on this matter, he said “One fundamental premise in social debates has been that homosexuality is unnatural. This premise is wrong. Homosexuality is both common and highly essential in the lives of a number of species”. These are only two examples of people who have studied this matter, for more information about homosexuality in animals you could also go to these links:

Many species of animals display homosexuality, showing that it does in fact happen in nature. The reasons are mainly seen as being a showing of authority, or a way of improving relationships between members of a group. Many various groups that oppose homosexuality claim that animals are not in control of what they're doing, and cannot be used as an example of homosexuality being natural and right. That humans are higher beings and have morals, and therefore shouldn't succumb to such behavior. That humans should choose to be heterosexual since that allows for reproduction, and that humans aren't a bunch of instinctual animals who can't control themselves.Whether somebody agrees or disagrees with homosexuality, it is clear that homosexual behavior has been observed in nature, and is a part of many species of animals lives.

  1. Hey! I love your blog so far, but I would suggest changing your post colors. I really want to read what you have to say, but the contrast makes it difficult.
